12/14/2023 0 Comments Chev nova cars with racing stripes![]() ![]() Here are a few pictures of Robert Curran's 1966 Chevy II SS. Kevin's best time since completing the car is a 11.62 115.10. A Denny's custom built steel driveshaft pulls it all together. Out back is a Moser 12-bolt rear with 3.90 gears and a set of CalTracs. The trans is a worked TH350 with a reverse manual valve body which connects to an ATI 10" tree master 3500-rpm converter. It has 220 Motown aluminum heads with Crane roller rockers and a port matched Motown single plane intake manifold with a Hardcore 870 cfm modified Holley. Kevin Costa's 1966 Nova has a 415 ci Bill Mitchell small block with 9.5.1 compression. This 1966 Nova SS L79 belongs to Howard Clements. Larger Pic - Side View - Rear 3/4 View - Interior - Engine Also new are the wheels, tires and all the trim and emblems. In interior is completely restored with new weather stripping. The paint is a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser color called Deep Cranberry Pearlcoat. Completely restored with a 350 crate engine, Edelbrock intake and carb, Headman Elite headers, Griffin aluminum radiator, Flex-a-lite Black Magic, TH350 trans and disc brakes up front. This 1966 SS belongs to SoCal's Brian Chretien. Larger Pic - Front View - Rear View - Interiorīrian Boothe's 1966 Nova is mini-tubbed with a 406 small block, Richmond 5-speed and a Ford 9" rear. It was found in 1999 near Lexington, Kentucky with 66,000 original miles. This is Rocky Beaudoin's 1966 L79 Nova SS. This is Tom Bartolini's original, numbers matching L79 1966 Nova SS. Larger Pic - Rear 3/4 View - Engine - Interior The rear is a 12-bolt with 3.73 gears and a posi unit. It now has a TH350 trans and a 327 built to L79 specs with alot of real L79 parts. It is a real SS car from California and was completely restored over a 3 year period. Michael Anderson purchased this 1966 Nova SS in 2002. It also has 17" Torq Thrust 2 wheels and VDO gauges.
